Potsdam is palace country: Sanssouci and its terraces, the New Palace, Cecilienhof, Babelsberg Park and the Belvedere on the Pfingstberg all sit inside one city, with UNESCO status across the parks.
Three days lets you do the palaces properly and still take a day out to Caputh, Werder or the Beelitz-Heilstätten in the surrounding Havelland. Hotels in the historic centre are reviewed below.
