Golfe Hotel & Spa Porto Vecchio - Review

Golfe Hotel & Spa is located in Porto Vecchio, on the southeast side of the island, and this is where we began our trip.

The hotel is about a 2.5-hour drive from Bastia Airport. It’s roughly a 15-minute walk from the Porto-Vecchio port and just as close to the city center, with public transportation also available nearby for those who prefer not to walk. The location is very practical, offering easy access to nearby beaches, which are just a 10–15 minute drive away.

Golfe hotel spa Portovecchio features a heated outdoor swimming pool, a fitness studio, and a spa offering a jacuzzi, sauna, and massages for an additional fee. The service at this hotel truly stood out — we were treated as though we were staying at a 5-star property, and it fully earned that impression.

There are four room types, all with a balcony, and some with a terrace, accommodating up to 4 guests. The room with the terrace was my favorite, offering wonderful privacy. All rooms are air-conditioned and come equipped with a flat-screen TV, mini-bar, and free WiFi.

Things to Consider

– If you’re visiting during the warmer months, it’s worth bringing mosquito spray, though the hotel does provide some if you forget.

– Golfe Hotel & Spa’s immediate surroundings aren’t particularly scenic.

– Towels for the pool or beach are not provided but can be rented for 5€.

Overall Impression

Golfe Hotel & Spa was the perfect starting point for our trip. What stood out most was the exceptional service, from check-in to check-out, we were treated with the kind of care and attention you’d expect from a true 5 stars stay.

The location, while not scenic in itself, proved wonderfully convenient for exploring Porto Vecchio and the surrounding beaches. Between the pool, the spa, and the comfort of our terrace room, it struck a great balance between relaxation and easy access to everything the area has to offer.
