Distance From Palanga Airport

1 Hour by Public Transportation

Distance From Kiel Port

20 Hours by Ferry

Hotel Dunetton is located in Klaipėda, just a 10-minute walk from the Old Town, the Danė River, and the city’s main attractions. Klaipėda itself is compact, so everything is within easy reach of one another.

If you’re arriving by ferry from Kiel, Germany, the crossing takes around 20 hours before reaching the hotel. Alternatively, if you fly into Palanga Airport, it’s roughly a 1-hour journey to the hotel by public transportation.

The hotel operates on a self-check-in system. Detailed instructions on how to access your room are sent via email or through the platform used for booking — in my case, communication was handled through Booking.com.

Hotel Dunetton is quiet, modern, and designed with a dramatic aesthetic. It offers four room categories, ranging from the most affordable Economy Room, to the Double Room and Superior Room, up to a striking suite located on the top floor. Every room is equipped with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, complimentary WiFi, and complimentary water.

The hotel also features a sauna area, a Jacuzzi, and a bar. Additionally, I discovered a beautiful lounge adjacent to the sauna area, where guests can play PlayStation or watch TV on a large screen.

Things to Consider

– Access to the sauna and Jacuzzi comes at an additional cost.

– Staffing is minimal, and reception is only reachable by phone or email.

– There’s no luggage storage available at the hotel, so if you arrive early or check out in the morning but still have time to explore the city, you can store your luggage at the nearby train station instead, for around 3€ – 6€.

Overall Impression:

The hotel’s entrance welcomes guests with a pleasant hint of amber fragrance, and the interior design carries a unique, dramatic style reminiscent of a boutique hotel. Breakfast was good overall, though a slightly wider selection would have been a nice addition. We stayed in the top-floor suite, which was spotless and genuinely stunning, I honestly wish we could have stayed longer.

Transparency note: I stayed in this hotel in person and combined my review with additional research.
