Sheraton Stockholm Hotel – A Touch Of Luxury In The Heart Of Stockholm - Review
An elegant hotel in Norrmalm with an unbeatable central location — a full look at the rooms, dining, wellness and what to consider before booking.

Distance From Stockholm Arlanda Airport

Distance From Stockholm Central Station
5 Minutes on Foot
During my trip to Stockholm, I had the opportunity to visit the Sheraton Stockholm Hotel and take a closer look at what this elegant hotel has to offer. If you're looking for a luxurious stay in the Swedish capital, with a fantastic central location and a sophisticated atmosphere, Sheraton Stockholm is certainly worth considering.

An Excellent Location In Central Stockholm
One of the hotel's biggest advantages is undoubtedly its location. Situated in Norrmalm, one of Stockholm's main shopping and commercial districts, Sheraton Stockholm puts you within easy reach of some of the city's most popular attractions.
The charming streets of Gamla Stan, Stockholm's historic Old Town, are just a short walk away, while Stockholm Central Station is conveniently located nearby. This makes the hotel particularly appealing if you're arriving by train or travelling to and from Arlanda Airport.
For anyone visiting Stockholm for the first time, I think this location is a major advantage. You can explore much of the city on foot without spending too much time on public transport.
Elegant Rooms And Suites
Sheraton Stockholm offers stylish, contemporary rooms decorated in warm brown tones with turquoise accents, creating a welcoming yet sophisticated atmosphere.
The rooms are designed with comfort in mind, featuring luxurious beds, soft mattresses and feather pillows. Standard room categories range from approximately 19 to 27 m², while family rooms offer around 37 m² of space.
For guests looking for something more exclusive, the hotel also offers several suite categories, ranging from junior suites of approximately 34 m² to an impressive presidential suite of around 94 m².
Some rooms and suites feature private balconies, although these are not available in every category, so I would recommend checking before booking if having outdoor space is important to you.
Rooms are equipped with modern conveniences, including air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi and coffee-making facilities.
Dining, Breakfast And Wellness
The hotel also features a restaurant and cocktail bar, offering guests a convenient place to enjoy a meal or unwind after a day exploring Stockholm.
Breakfast highlights seasonal Nordic ingredients, although it isn't included in every room rate. I would recommend checking this when booking, especially since breakfast can make a difference to the overall cost of your stay.
For those who like to stay active while travelling, Sheraton Stockholm also offers fitness and wellness facilities. However, there is no swimming pool, which is worth knowing if that's something you usually look for in a luxury hotel.
A Few Things To Consider
Although Sheraton Stockholm has plenty to offer, there are a few practical details I would keep in mind before booking.
One is the cost of parking. If you're arriving by car, parking can cost approximately €50 per day, which I personally find rather expensive.
As I mentioned in my Stockholm travel guide, I really don't think you need a car to explore the city. Stockholm has an excellent public transport network, and with such a central hotel location, walking is often the easiest and most enjoyable option.
It's also worth remembering that breakfast may cost extra, not all rooms have balconies, and there is no swimming pool.
My Impression Of Sheraton Stockholm
Although I didn't stay overnight at Sheraton Stockholm, I enjoyed having the opportunity to visit and explore the hotel during my trip.
What impressed me most was its combination of elegant accommodation and an exceptionally convenient location. Being so close to Gamla Stan, the shopping streets of Norrmalm and Stockholm Central Station makes it a particularly attractive choice for a city break.
If you appreciate modern comfort, a touch of luxury and the convenience of staying right in the heart of the city, Sheraton Stockholm is definitely a hotel I would consider for a future visit.
Transparency note: I visited this hotel in person and combined my review with additional research, but did not stay overnight.
